The Meari S2 Plus 4MP Outdoor Smart PTZ WiFi Camera is built for the gate, driveway, yard or shop front. A 1/2.7-inch 4 megapixel CMOS sensor records 2560 × 1440 video through a 4 mm F1.6 lens with a 110° horizontal, 89° vertical and 46° diagonal field of view, and the shutter runs from 1/20 to 1/10,000 second.

This is a motorised Outdoor PTZ Camera, not a fixed one. It rotates from 0° to 355° and tilts from 0° to -90°, so a single unit at the corner of the house can sweep the whole front area instead of staring at one lane. Night visibility reaches 30 metres and full colour night vision keeps clothing and number plates in colour after dark, with minimum illumination of 0.01 Lux at F1.6 and DWDR for bright headlights.

It also reacts rather than just recording. Intelligent motion and sound detection trigger a sound and light alarm, so an intruder gets a flashing light and an audible warning while the clip is saved. A built-in microphone and speaker allow two-way talk from the app, which is handy for calling out to a delivery rider at the gate.

For weather and storage, this IP65 Security Camera is rated against dust and water jets and runs from -20°C to 50°C, so it can be mounted outdoors under normal Bangladeshi rain. A monthly plan is not compulsory: recordings can go to a TF card of up to 256 GB, to cloud storage, or to an NVR. As a Meari PTZ WiFi Camera it joins dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11 b/g/n/ac/ax), and the RJ45 network port on the S2 Plus gives a wired option where thick walls weaken the signal. It runs on DC 12V/1A, uses H.265 with dual stream, and the app supports iOS 9 or later and Android 5 or later with AES 128 security.

Important Usage Instructions

• Mount it high enough at a corner that the 355° sweep covers the gate and the approach path.
• Fit a TF card of up to 256 GB, or set up cloud or NVR recording, before you rely on it for evidence.
• Run the RJ45 cable if walls between the router and the camera weaken the Wi-Fi; 5 GHz is faster but carries less far than 2.4 GHz.
• Keep the DC 12V/1A supply and its joint inside a weatherproof box — the camera is IP65 but the connector is not.
• Clean the lens and light cover every few weeks; dust on the glass dulls both night vision and the alarm light.
