The Meari S1 Plus 3MP Indoor Pan/Tilt Portable WiFi Camera is a compact indoor camera built to watch a whole room instead of one corner of it. A 1/2.8-inch 3 megapixel CMOS sensor records 2304 × 1296 video through a 3.6 mm F2.0 lens with a 100° horizontal, 85° vertical and 50° diagonal field of view.

The motor is what makes this Indoor PT Camera useful in a bedroom, shop floor or nursery. It pans from 0° to 350° and tilts from -15° to 45°, so one unit covers the doorway, the cot and the cupboard from a single mounting point. Intelligent motion and sound detection raise an alert and the camera follows the movement on its own, and sound detection reacts to events such as a baby crying or glass breaking. Pet detection is supported too.

Because a built-in microphone and speaker are both fitted, this Two-Way Talk Camera lets you hear the room and answer back from the phone app. At night, infrared gives visibility up to 10 metres, with minimum illumination of 0.1 Lux in colour and 0.01 Lux in black and white, and DWDR keeps bright windows from washing out the picture.

Storage is the question most buyers ask about this Meari WiFi Camera, and a monthly plan is not compulsory: a TF card of up to 256 GB records directly in the camera, while cloud storage and NVR recording are also supported. Important Usage Instructions

• Place the camera on a shelf or ceiling point that lets the lens swing across the doorway, since coverage depends on the pan and tilt sweep.
• Insert a TF card of up to 256 GB before first use if you want recordings kept locally instead of in the cloud.
• Use the RJ45 LAN port when the Wi-Fi signal is weak; the 5 GHz band is faster but has shorter range than 2.4 GHz.
• Keep it indoors — there is no weather rating, so avoid open balconies, rain and direct sun.
• Power it from the supplied DC 5V/1A supply and keep the lens clear of glass or mirrors that reflect the infrared at night.
